Network Participation Rules

Effective September 11, 2026 · Updated September 11, 2026

Own offers first. Relevant offers only. Honest claims. Those are the rules of the VendorButton Advantage network.

1. Membership and site control

A valid paid or operator-granted membership is required to serve recommendations. Add only websites you control or are authorized to manage. Domain verification establishes technical control, not our endorsement of the business. Do not claim someone else’s domain, copy another member’s identity, or share account credentials.

2. Offer selection

Your eligible active offers across your verified sites always take priority over other vendors’ offers. An offer must match at least one configured source-site niche tag and meet active-site and membership checks. A website offer that simply points back to the source site is excluded. Higher configured priority is considered first, with rotation among equal-priority matches. If no own offer qualifies, network offers may appear only if you enabled fallback. An empty match produces no widget.

Network participation permits your active offers to appear on other participating sites when eligible. It does not guarantee placement, exclusivity, reciprocity, volume, equal exposure, or an endorsement by a host. You can pause offers or disable fallback. Configure specific honest tags; tagging unrelated products to capture traffic is prohibited.

3. Permitted content and destinations

You may submit lawful websites, products, and affiliate offers you are authorized to promote. Titles, descriptions, prices if shown, and destination claims must be accurate. HTTPS links must lead to the described destination. No malware, phishing, counterfeit goods, illegal products, hate or harassment, deceptive financial schemes, fabricated testimonials, false scarcity, misleading earnings promises, or unauthorized personal data. Do not use hidden redirects to evade these rules. We may remove or suspend a destination that changes into prohibited content.

4. Affiliate and commercial disclosures

If a recommendation may earn you a commission, mark it as an affiliate offer. The widget displays a nearby paid-link disclosure explaining that the recommending vendor may earn a commission. Do not remove or conceal that disclosure. You are responsible for any additional disclosures required by your affiliate agreement or applicable law. VendorButton membership does not grant affiliate approval, set commission rates, attribute another platform’s sales, or make FiveToClose responsible for another vendor’s payouts.

5. Installation and visitor experience

The standard script belongs on a genuine post-purchase confirmation page. It must not block checkout, disguise advertisements as order requirements, or imply an additional purchase is necessary to receive the original product. Preserve the dismiss control and the distinction between the completed purchase and optional offers. For applications, dispatch the purchase-confirmed event only after successful server verification. Honor user choices and any consent obligations for additional tracking you enable.

6. Measurement and misuse

Do not create artificial impressions or clicks, use bots to manipulate reports, force redirects, incentivize fraudulent activity, or attempt to access another member’s dashboard. Measurements can include repeated visitors and may miss requests blocked by browsers or network failures. They are not sales attribution or an audit of unique humans. We may apply technical limits and discard suspicious activity.

7. Enforcement and review

We can pause an offer, site, or account to protect visitors and the network or to comply with law. For ordinary correctable issues, we aim to explain the reason and allow correction. Urgent safety or legal issues may require immediate action. You may contact us to contest a decision. Report an unsafe or misleading recommendation with its source site and destination; do not include unrelated customer data.
